New PhyFluids released!
Tuesday, June 17, 2008
PhyFluids
is the new 2d grid based fluid simulation plugin for MAXON C4D !
This version has Multi Core support on Windows 32-bit and 64-bit.
So if you have Quad Core 64-bit CPU then the simulation should run approximately 3.2x faster, future optimizations may be increase this a bit toward 4x but will never reach it!
MacOS X version uses only single core for simulation for now, this will be probably changed later.
The full version can now be downloaded by PhyTools2 user in Update section.
The Demo can be download in Download
section and tested for 14 active days.

Hi,
I am buying cinema 4d at this moment. To get phytools, do I need dynamics module or is it enough to buy core version and some other modules(exc. dynamics)?
The 2nd question would be, can I get phytools with my temporary serial or do I have to wait for the real one?
Thanks
Jure

Hi,
NO you d not need Dynamic module.
PhyTools should run with C4D Core too.
There exist optional connection Thinking Particle Module and HAIR module.
So this two module would be nice to have too.
This is possible to create PhyTools serial for Temporal number but is is better to use permanent for this purpose.

Can you specify(roughly) existing optional connections with TP and hair. What won’t work without them?
Thanks

Hi,
There are some features in SilverBullet4D+ that uses TP and Xpresso.
But SB4D+ uses classic particle system too so there are not much limitations.
The HAIR connection is very basic and not important for now.
Without HAIR you will not be able to collide with HAIR in UniFlex.
In the future plugins this will be extended…
With Modules do you prefer?

Well, I was thinking for start to buy the core and vray for render engine. This would be enough for my current point of interest - visualising all kinds of stuff. I would add phytools at this point just for fun I guess, cause I saw some pretty impressive videos and they got me.
Later I would add tp, mograph and hair(when it’s vray supported)
Do you know maybee, is it worth to wait with buying because of siggraph and possible next version?
Thanks again

Well the R11 is now out and it contains new rendering engine.
So vray is may be not as important any more?

Hi,
purchased R11 and already got my final serial.
Before purchasing your plugin:
since I’m still on 32bit mode and in a month on a 64bit(changing computer and operating system); do I get with a purchase plugin for both modes and if yes, does serial number remain the same?
Thanks
Jure

Hi Jure,
Yes the serial number are the same and you will get package for all systems.
I best as I know with R11 you have the same serial number even for Mac OS X so you can use the plugin on any platform.

Remo

Hi,
To use UniFlex you need to install “Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package”.
On 32-bit Windows this one >>>

Still no update of PhyFluids for R11?
The last I know of, is: PhyFluids_051_18Jun08
And that version doesn’t work with R11+
